Gentle Lynx - Gemstone Bracelet Set

Gentle Lynx is a three bracelet set combining the soft pastel colours of Beryl with nave blue sodalite.

This month's collaboration with the Vivienne Files brief was lots of pastel colors pair with navy. Navy is my go-to base colour which is why I love working with Lapis and Sodalite. I don't, however, wear many pastel colours, but I was up to the challenge of designing a set combining both when Janice presented it to me.  Gentle Lynx is the result.

The central bracelet combines 8mm Sodalite rounds with pale honey yellow Jade rondelles. The two outer bracelets are Beryl stones in pastel pink (morganite) and blue (aquamarine) with Amethyst, separated by star-cut Sodalite beads and silver filigree spacer beads.

Gentle Lynx is named for the metaphysical properties of Morganite which is associated with the heart chakra as well as kindness and innocence. We think it's a great reminder to be gentle with yourself as well. No matter how old we get, we are always learning and growing. Accept and forgive your mistakes and learn to do better next time.

ABOUT THE GEMSTONES:

Jade – Jade has been prized throughout history for its durability and beauty, particularly in China, where it is still viewed as a bringer of fortune, prosperity, and luck. Sign us up for more of all of those! While Jade is commonly thought of in its green form, this gemstone occurs in almost every colour of the rainbow, from white and pale yellow through to blue and lavender.

Beryl – This family of silicate minerals, some of which you’re likely familiar with – green Beryl is Emerald, and blue Beryl is Aquamarine. Pink-Peach Beryl is called Morganite, and clear-colourless Beryl is known as goshenite. (Less common varieties include Alexandrite, heliodor or chrysoberyl, bixbite, and maxixe).

Sodalite – If you’re looking for meaning, sodalite can help you uncover the answer. This beautiful blue and white gemstone brings awareness and understanding. Sodalite is the stone of communication and truth and encourages logical thinking. Mr. Spock would approve. Learn more about Sodalite on our blog.
