Voyage to Amsterdam - Bracelet Set
The first place I ever lived in Europe was Amsterdam, and the capital city of the Netherlands always holds a place special in my heart. So when I set out to create a series of travel-themed bracelet sets, I knew Holland had to be on the list.
While living in the Netherlands, I became a bit obsessed with Delft pottery. While the stunningly intricate designs can be in almost any colour of the rainbow, I'm partial to the classic blue and white pottery and took it for my inspiration for this set.
The crackles in the blue and white Fire Agate remind me of cracked pottery. I've contrasted this with three pristine white and blue ceramic beads (sadly not Delft). I've rounded it all off with a little windmill bead - because, Holland.
Fire Agate – Despite its flame-y name Fire Agate fosters feelings of safety and security. It is called the gemstone of ‘eternal youth.’ We don’t know about you but if our joints felt a bit younger, we could totally live with that. Fire agate naturally occurs in red-brown tones but is often died to enhance other colours like this royal blue version.
Lava Beads – Light and porous lava represents both fire and earth, so it keeps you rooted while reflecting your fiery side. Lava beads are also the perfect carrier for essential oils. Just add a drop of your favourite scent to keep with you all day long. Because lava is so light, you can stack up loads of these bracelets to show off your unique style.
