Field of Poppies - Exclusive Ovals Bracelet
The Field of Poppies bracelet combines Serpentine oval beads with Red Flake Jasper and represents my memory of the golden-green wheat fields of Flanders dotted with red poppies.
With November comes Remembrance Day in Canada and the symbol we wear to honour those who have fallen in battle is the poppy. This tradition comes from the John McCrea poem, 'In Flanders Fields.'
During my time in Belgium, I lived both in and near Flanders for 10 years. I've walked through those fields of poppies and stood among the 'crosses row on row.' It's impossible to describe how much more present the World Wars feel when standing in the military graveyards of Europe.
I have made this bracelet available in both gold and silver-plated accent beads.
These bracelets are sold individually. Multiples are displayed to show the variance.

ABOUT THE GEMSTONES:
Serpentine – Often used as a substitute for Jade, Serpentine is actually a group of various minerals with a characteristic ‘slippery’ texture. Its name comes from the Latin, ‘serpentinus’ or serpent rock. Serpentine helps unblock stagnant energy, so if you feel stuck in a rut, this is the perfect gemstone to wear to get you moving again.
Red Flake Jasper – Red Jasper promotes endurance (consider it an espresso kick for your soul). It stimulates chi, your vital life force, giving you stamina, energy, and determination. This is your ultimate goal-setting gemstone to help you kick butt and take names!
