Night Sky Kumihimo Bracelet

One of the things I love about working with the Miyuki magatama beads in my kumihimo bracelets is all the different finishes they come in. I was curious what would happen if I used all the same colour with different finishes and textures. I chose black and immediately thought of the sky at night. I added just one strand with sparkly gold beads to represent stars and the Night Sky Kumihimo Bracelet was born.

I added a star toggle clasp and a little moon and star charm to finish the look.

This bracelet features the ancient Japanese art of Kumihimo, meaning gathered threads. These braided cords are highlighted by Japanese magatama beads in a variety of metallic greens and blacks, for a shimmery, scale-like quality.
