Ruby Throated Hummingbird Earrings
These Ruby-throated hummingbird earrings feature real ruby in fuchsite micro-faceted gemstone for plenty of sparkle and a hummingbird charm.
I can't take credit for the design concept behind these pretty earrings. My Father-in-Law actually requested hummingbird-themed earrings as an anniversary gift for my Mother-in-Law, who enjoys watching the antics of the hummingbird visitors at their feeder.
Ruby in Fuchsite seemed like the ideal stone to represent these tiny avian wonders. I've arranged the 3mm micro-faceted stones, so the green fuchsite represents the body, and a ruby sits as the second bead at the throat area.
These earrings measure roughly 7.2cm (or 3in)

Ruby in Fuchsite – This stone combines both Ruby (The red form of corundum and popular July birthstone) and green Fuchsite, a chrome-based mica. This combination of colours means it associates with both the heart (green) and root (red) chakras. This stone reminds us to ‘root’ in the earth and open your ‘heart’ to the healing power of nature.
