Sea Glass Kumihimo Bracelet

I'm one of those people who can't walk along the beach without picking up sea glass (or shells, or pretty rocks...). I marvel at how the power of the ocean can take something sharp and jagged and turn it into something smooth and beautiful.

When I saw these matte magatama beads, they immediately reminded me of sea glass, and I wanted to create a bracelet to transport me to those long walks on the shore.

This bracelet features the ancient Japanese art of Kumihimo, meaning gathered threads. These braided cords are highlighted by Japanese magatama beads in a variety of metallic greens and blacks, for a shimmery, scale-like quality.

Size: 18-21cm (7-8.5in) long
