The commonly accepted and modern birthstone of May is the Emerald but that's not the only option if you're a May baby. In addition to Emeralds, Agate is a traditional May birthstone alternative and this gemstone gives us endless variety to play with.

For the May Birthstone collaboration with The Vivienne Files, I've opted to stick with the Emerald-green theme when choosing my Agate varieties. As spring is erupting outside my windows, an endless variety of shades of green seems a perfect choice.

This three bracelet set combines Moss Agate, which comes in a full range of cool and warm green tones, with Tree Agate; typically a dark green surrounded by white.

I've kept with the botanical theme by adding a silver alloy acorn charm. It reminds me of the proverb, "mighty oaks from little acorns grow."

With the current uncertainty in the world, it's the perfect time to find solace in nature and to remember to persevere.
