April Birthstone Bracelet Set - Spring Reawakening

Sold out

The traditional birthstone of April is the diamond, one of the most valued (and controversial) gemstones on the planet. Whether you believe diamonds are a girl's best friend or not, it's safe to say, in the current economic climate, many of us are looking for a less expensive option to celebrate the month of April. For my April birthstone bracelet set, I've opted to work with Quartz, in several different forms.

Quartz is known as "the Mother of all crystals" and it's easy to see why when you understand just how many of our favourite gemstones are merely different forms of Quartz. Because we're channelling diamonds here, I've opted for mostly translucent Quartzes. Perfectly clear, flawless Rock Crystal Quartz is the rarest of the trio. Crackle Quartz adds depth and texture to the set and Dark teal dyed Quartz diamond-cut beads add a pop of colour.

I chose the green tones to represent spring, which is just starting to emerge here on my little mountainside. The three bracelet set is highlighted by Tibetan silver alloy spacer beads and two hollow filigree beads featuring spring blossoms.

Quartz – Quartz is the mother of all crystals and has been used throughout history in cultures around the world. It comes in a vast range of colours from yellow to smokey grey to pink and purple. However, its most common form is a clear or slightly milky white gemstone. Quartz is said to be the most powerful healing and soothing crystal there is, so if you need a little help getting back on track, having Quartz nearby couldn't hurt.
