COVID-19 & Holiday Update
Even though the Holiday Season is a few months away, shipping is going to be one of the main issues customers are concerned with is regarding purchases online.
With Covid-19, we did see some shipping delays. Still, with flu season and the holidays fast approaching, many have started their holiday shopping early. Here at Fierce Lynx Designs, we aim to answer some of your shipping-related questions. We plan to keep you up to date if anything changes with shipping from Canada.
How Much Does Shipping Cost?
At Fierce Lynx I don't believe in marking up my prices to cover shipping costs. You ONLY pay for your actual shipping charges. I use (discounted) Canada Post rates based on the actual weight of your order calculated when you check out.
I offer free shipping on ALL orders over 75$ (before tax and shipping) to anywhere. These shipments will not include tracking or insurance.
Local (Saint John and surrounding areas):
For local orders, we are planning a few dates in the future for those who want to meet within Grand Bay, Saint John, and Sussex. We are planning to have a couple of safe meet-up locations available and will keep you updated.
Please note, if your purchase is over $75, you are eligible for free shipping through Expedited Parcel. For the latest updates, please check back here or on Facebook.
Shipping Within Canada
We offer free shipping on orders of $75 or more. Your items are delivered by Expedited Parcel within 3 to 7 business days (this includes tracking and liability insurance up to $100). Closer to the Holidays, we anticipate this to be about 10 to 15 business days. Currently, Canada Post is not guaranteeing delivery for a specific date
Shipping to the USA
USA: We offer free shipping on orders of $75 or more. Your items are sent from Canada via Small Packet USA – Air (no tracking). Canada Post, in working with USPS, has advised that they are adding an extra 5-7 days to regular delivery times for all services. This means delivery is expected between 10 to 15 business days. Closer to the holidays, we do anticipate this to be up to 15 to 20 business days
USA Tracking: If you require a tracking number, you must purchase the Tracked Packet USA – Air.
The shipping time is the same as above, 10 to 15 business days; however, you will receive a tracking number and liability coverage up to $100. Closer to the holidays, we do anticipate this to be up to 15 to 20 business days.
We offer free shipping on orders of $75 or more. Your items are sent from Canada via Small Packet International – Air. Canada Post has advised expecting an additional 7 to 14 days on top of standard shipping times. This means you can expect your packet between 15 to 25 business days. We do anticipate this being higher the closer we get to the holidays. Please note, we have heard from some customers that there is a known delay with customs in some countries.
Some counties have suspended International Postal Service. You can see these on the Canada Post website,
USA & International Orders please note: While it is not often the case, shipments can be held up at your country's border/customs for inspection causing delivery delays and import duties or taxes may be charged. You are responsible for any additional import fees incurred by your shipment.
Where Do You Ship?
If Canada Post will deliver there - I'll ship to you! So far, I haven't found anywhere I can't ship but if you have questions or concerns you can always contact me.
How Do You Package Your Jewellery
I ship all my pieces in waterproof bubble mailers. These plastic mailers are recyclable and (so far) are the best combination of sustainable and durable I've found (although I'm still on the hunt for an alternative to plastic.)
Each handmade piece is carefully wrapped in bubble wrap (read my article about fun ways to reuse this) and tucked inside a burlap bag. You should always return your pieces to the bag when not wearing them as some gemstones are light sensitive and easily scratched.
Each package comes with care instructions and information about your handmade pieces.
