Welcome to Fierce Lynx Designs, where nature meets creativity. I'm Alison, the owner, designer, and maker behind this brand. Alongside me is Yvonne, our Social Media and Customer Support Diva. Together, we form a dynamic two-woman team committed to bringing you unique, handmade jewelry that tells a story.
Our Mission
We believe in the power of sustainable fashion and ethical business practices. That's why we donate at least 10% of our annual profits to The Nature Conservancy of Canada. Our mission is to empower women, both at home and in developing countries, through upcycled and locally made beads. We're not just about looking good; we're about doing good, too.
Proudly a Safe Space
Fierce Lynx Designs is a proud member of the Safe Space Alliance, a global, LGBTQI+-led nonprofit that helps people find and create spaces where they can be themselves without fear. Being recognized as a Safe Space means we're committed to welcoming and supporting LGBTQI+ folks — customers and makers alike — every day of the year, not just during Pride. It's one more way we try to live our values, alongside our commitment to sustainable, ethical jewellery-making.
The Gemstone Connection
Most of our designs feature semi-precious and precious gemstones, used in ways that bring out their natural beauty. We take great care to source these stone beads ethically and sustainably. Through our blog, we aim to educate our Lynxes about these wonders from the Earth, adding another layer of connection between you and your unique piece of jewelry.
The Face Behind the Designs
I'm Alison Cornford-Matheson, the heart and soul of Fierce Lynx Designs. I grew up in Saint John, New Brunswick, and after years of living and travelling abroad, I returned to my roots. My journey into jewelry-making began as a way to unplug from my tech-heavy life and reconnect with my love for crafting and nature. I've always been fascinated by gemstones, and Fierce Lynx became the perfect intersection of my loves for creating, nature, travel, and online business.

Every piece is lovingly crafted in the breathtaking Fundy region of New Brunswick, Canada. We're proud to be a local business that has a global reach, thanks to our online-only model. Operating online allows us to keep costs down and focus on what we do best—creating beautiful, sustainable jewelry.

Every piece you see here is handmade by me, Alison, with the exception of our Fierce Lynx Bazaar collection. These are carefully curated, high-quality accessories that align with our ethos, even if they aren't crafted in-house. Whether it's a bracelet, necklace, or pair of earrings, each item is a labour of love, designed to bring joy to your life.

We understand that beauty should be accessible to everyone. That's why most of our bracelet designs are mobility-friendly, with no clasps. These are perfect for individuals with challenges like arthritis, making it easier to adorn yourself without hassle.

As a lover of nature and travel, I draw inspiration from Canada's rugged wilderness and the diverse cultures I encounter on my global adventures. Each piece reflects the beauty that surrounds us, made even more special by the natural gemstones that feature prominently in our designs.
