Desert Turquoise - Natural Turquoise Bracelet

Sale
Original Price $34.00
Current Price $28.90

The Desert Turquoise bracelet combines authentic Hubei Turquoise with copper-plated Hematite and soft beige Fossil for a warm and casual pop of colour.

When we think of Turquoise (the gemstone rather than the colour), we usually picture a robin's egg blue or maybe a soft blue-green, typical of certain North American Turquoise mines. However, the premier Chinese Turquoise can contain these shades and many, many more.

The Turquoise featured in this bracelet comes from the Hubei province's Cloud Mountain area. I was blown away by the quality and variety of colour in this natural Turquoise. Here, I have highlighted the warmer tones by pairing them with matte Fossil beads and copper-plated Hematite spacer beads.

As the Turquoise beads vary greatly in each bracelet, this would be a fun one to stack in multiples or with other bracelets.

ABOUT THE GEMSTONES:

Turquoise – This copper-based stone is most famous for the colour that shares its name; however, Turquoise occurs in a range of blues and greens and yellows and often contains some of the host material in coppery red-browns. One of the three December birthstones, Turquoise, is associated with the throat chakra, which aids communication and is believed to have a calming and balancing energy. Learn more about Turquoise.

Hematite – This important component of iron is one of the most abundant minerals on earth. Its name comes from the Greek word for blood, haima, and was associated with the god of war, Mars. Early warriors from Greece, Rome, and the indigenous populations of North America used crushed hematite as protection and 'war paint.' This highly metallic stone is a great reminder to ground yourself and remain determined and focused on your goals.
