Super Seven - Cacoxenite Bracelet

Sold out

The Super Seven bracelet pairs Super 7 faceted and round beads with Amethyst, and copper-plated Hematite beads in a magical combination.

As a February birthstone gal, when I was first introduced to Super 7 (and its big sister Auralite 23), I fell head over heels in love. Both of these gemstones are naturally formed composites of other minerals, including Amethyst, which become encased in Quartz, making them durable enough to cut for jewellery. Each bead becomes a dreamy little world of encased minerals.

Often, Super Seven can get lumped under the catch-all name of Cacoxenite, another of its mineral components. It's Cacoxenite that gives Super 7 its characteristic coppery tones. I've highlighted these by using copper-plated Hematite beads as spacers in this bracelet and finished the look with a few 8mm Amethyst beads (because you can never have too much Amethyst, AmIRight?)

Cacoxenite – Although Cacoxenite is a mineral in and of itself, in the world of gemstones, it has become a bit of a catch-all for stones that include it in their makeup, such as Super Seven and Auralite 23. In both cases, Cacoxenite and other minerals become encased in Quartz, forming a spectacular and relatively durable material. The resulting gemstone is believed to combine all of the metaphysical properties of its components. Learn more about the mineral Cacoxenite and the differences between Super 7 and Auralite 23 in our blog articles.

Hematite – This important component of iron is one of the most abundant minerals on earth. Its name comes from the Greek word for blood, haima, and was associated with the god of war, Mars. Early warriors from Greece, Rome, and the indigenous populations of North America used crushed hematite as protection and 'war paint.' This highly metallic stone is a great reminder to ground yourself and remain determined and focused on your goals.
