The Seaside Sunrise Bracelet set features brilliant Orange Chalcedony beads in a sea of blue, purple, and green gemstones.

While given the right conditions, sunrise can be a magical time just about anywhere, there's something extra special about watching the sun come up over the water. This bracelet set represents that perfect morning moment when the sun, represented by stunningly clear, hand-faceted, orange Chalcedony, reflects on the sea.

I've used a combination of denim blue Dumortierite, dark purple upcycled Charoite, green British Columbia Jade, and light blue Angelite to represent the swirling changing colours of the ocean. I've completed the two supporting bracelets with upcycled shell beads. These beads sparkle with flecks of Abalone, just like the highlights on the waves.

While it's always hard for me to choose favourites in any collection, Seaside Sunrise may just be my top choice from the Endless Summer collection. I hope you enjoy this special, limited edition set as much as I do.

ABOUT THE GEMSTONES:

Angelite – This light blue stone is found in coastal areas around the globe. Angelite is a trade-name for anhydrite and is essentially gypsum without any water remaining. Angelite's calming blue colour provides it with a peaceful, relaxing energy. Its angelic name hints at its connection to the divine universe – and it can never hurt to have the universe on your side.

Chalcedony – This cryptocrystalline variety of Quartz encompasses many of the gems we know and love, like Carnelian, Onyx, and Bloodstone, to name just a few. The ancient Greeks considered Chalcedony valuable, and Native Americans held it sacred. It is believed to be a nurturing stone beloved by public speakers to help words of diplomacy flow.

Dumortierite – This beautiful blue gemstone gets its unwieldy name from French paleontologist Eugène Dumortier who first discovered it in one of my favourite regions of France, the Rhône-Alps. It's a similar shade of denim blue to Sodalite, but instead of white inclusions, it has dark spots and speckles. Dumortierite is the stone of intellectuals and is said to increase patience. Who couldn't use a little more of that these days?

Jade – Jade has been prized throughout history for its durability and beauty, particularly in China, where it is still viewed as a bringer of fortune, prosperity, and luck. Sign us up for more of all of those! While Jade is commonly thought of in its green form, this gemstone occurs in almost every colour of the rainbow, from white and pale yellow to blue and lavender.
