Black Capped Chickadee Bracelet Duo

$52.00

The Black-Capped Chickadee bracelet duo is my representation of New Brunswick's provincial bird in gemstone jewelry.

These gregarious little birds can be spotted across Eastern Canada year-round and are regular visitors to my feeders. While their colour palettes seem simple at first glance, beige, white, and black, when you look at them closely, you see a delicate patterning of greys, browns, and even blue highlights.

To represent this wide range of subtle colours, I've chosen a variety of gemstones: Eagle Eye stone, Feldspar, Blue Lace Agate, Howlite, Tanzanite Quartz, Black Onyx, and Petrified Wood in various shapes and cuts.

Silver-toned spacer beads and a chickadee charm complete the set.

    ABOUT THE GEMSTONES:

Feldspar – Feldspar is a rock-forming mineral group and is responsible for the shimmer in some of our favourite stones like Sunstone. In the metaphysical community, Feldspar is believed to align chakras and promote self-awareness by stimulating creativity.

Eagle Eye – This gem is all the shades of smokey grey from white to black, captured in stone. It has a chatoyancy (or cat-eye effect) similar to Tiger Eye and is incredibly durable. The neutral grey shades are perfect for enhancing the colours of other stones it is paired with, but Eagle Eye is a grounding and calming stone in its own right.

Howlite - This is one of my favourite gemstones to work with and was originally discovered in Nova Scotia, Canada (one of several of my 'homes'). Howlite is a powerful calming stone and promotes wisdom and enlightenment, and couldn't we all use more of that in our lives!

Onyx – Like Agate, Onyx is a form of Chalcedony, but its bands are parallel rather than curved like in Agates. In its most commonly known state, Onyx is black, sometimes with white banding, but it can actually be found in many colours. Onyx is believed to promote stamina and vigor and give you the confidence you need to go out and do great things. Learn more about Onyx.

Note: Gemstones are naturally occurring and as such colours and patterns will vary in each bracelet. Each bracelet is unique and may not be exactly as pictured.
