Fierce Clarity - Dumortierite & Carnelian Bracelet Set

The Fierce Clarity bracelet set combines easy-to-wear blue Dumortierite with bold red Carnelian and a hint of Lapis Lazuli.

Red and blue is a classic colour combination but that hasn't found its way into my jewelry designs - until now. The October collaboration with The Vivienne Files seemed like the perfect time to introduce Fierce Clarity.

Dumortierite is one of my favourite all-purpose stones. It's an easy blue to wear, whatever your skin tone, kind of like your favorite pair of jeans.

I wanted to pair it with a bold red, so I chose these star-cut carnelian beads, which are about as 'true' red as you can get in the natural world. For a bit of variation (and sparkle), I've added carnelian rondelles that are plated with a sparkling finish.

To get a deeper navy blue, I've also added Lapis Lazuli prism beads.

I've created a set of matching earrings (sold separately) to tie together the entire look. This bracelet set will be a classic to add a spot of natural colour to your wardrobe for seasons to come.

Dumortierite – This beautiful blue gemstone gets its unwieldy name from French paleontologist Eugène Dumortier who first discovered it in one of my favourite regions of France, the Rhône-Alps. It’s a similar shade of denim blue to Sodalite but instead of white inclusions, has dark spots and speckles. Dumortierite is the stone of intellectuals and is said to increase patience. Who couldn’t use a little more of that these days?

Carnelian – Like Agate, carnelian is a form of Chalcedony ranging in colour from light orange to a deep oxblood to almost black. This stunning red gemstone has been prized for centuries and is known to stimulate creativity and boost courage. If you need a little motivation to do that thing you’ve meant to do, oh forever, Carnelian is the bravery booster you need.

Lapis Lazuli – It’s easy to see why this royal blue gemstone was once prized by royalty. But not only is Lapis Lazuli deep in colour, but it also helps you dig deep within yourself. Lapis is the gemstone of self-awareness. It promotes self-expression, so it’s an excellent gemstone for creatives and those who simply need to reconnect with themselves.
